Osborne House was a rural retreat for Queen Victoria and she stayed there for lengthy
periods each year. This is the main entrance.

From the terrace Mooch got a good view of the gardens which lead down to the Solent,
with Portsmouth in the distance.

On the terrace there are a lot of statues, but most had been wrapped up to protect them during the winter.

Mooch wondered if the designer of the Victorian post box took inspiration from the house towers.

Mooch had a rest on the memorial bench to John Brown, who was a servant of Queen Victoria.
Mina went to Osborne House two years later and saw some parts that Mooch missed.
